This activity will show you how you can use your smartphone as a camera and stream it through blackboard collaborate. Start by installing iriun on your smartphone and laptop.

Open the application on your phone and laptop and leave it running.

Then install and run vlc on your computer. Open VLC on your computer.

Go to Media->Open Capture Device

Then under Video Device Name find your Phones' camera. In my case it was /dev/video0, but yours may be different. If you wish to maximise the display capability in the next step then you can also do: View->Minimal Interface.

Now go to Blackboard Collaborate and share your vlc window.
