This activity will show you how you can use your smartphone as a camera and stream it through blackboard collaborate. Start by installing [iriun] on your smartphone and laptop.
Open the application on your phone and laptop and leave it running.
Then install and run [vlc] on your computer. Open VLC on your computer.
Go to Media->Open Capture Device
Then under Video Device Name find your Phones' camera. In my case it was /dev/video0, but yours may be different. If you wish to maximise the display capability in the next step then you can also do: View->Minimal Interface.
Now go to Blackboard Collaborate and share your vlc window.
